The billing address is for the florist! They dont give it to the receiver! Yeah if Emilio really wants he can track you down (subpoena the florist etc etc..). But how many people will he track down? I am not the prototypical IV member in that I have only been on the H1-B visa since 6 months after graduating with my masters .. my company hasn't even started the GC process yet. So my interest in legal immigration reform is more from the perspective of someone who will enter the GC pipeline in the near future rather than one currently stuck in the BEC/retro mess.
I began working for my current company (a high-tech start-up) as an intern when I was still a student .. my work on a prototype VoIP solution for cellphones helped the company win a second round of venture funding .. and needless to say, created lots of jobs through company expansion. I am currently very well placed in my company and seem set for a good future with them.
However, seeing the plight of other, more senior talented EB folks here stuck in limbo, i am seriously re-considering my options .. I think its better to switch to a plan B now, rather than invest several years of time and emotional effort in my career here only for me to be stuck in legal and professional limbo. I have already applied for canadian permanent residency, and if the status quo continues, I will have little hesitation in moving there, to a company in my area of expertise. I assure you that several of my classmates are in the same boat as me. If the GC system is not fixed anytime soon, I am fairly sure the retro issue will disappear by itself in few years time .. coz there will be no more applicants left to be enticed by this american mirage.

Well - I agree. What you say is true. In the past - IV leadership came up with campaigns and with plan and then the heat picked up and members started contributing and working hard and thats how all these campaigns are a success to some extent.
Now when new members are trying to come up with something - I personally feel that IV leadership must either endorse and support and guide or if such new campaigns that are not coming directly from IV core may not be advisable because they may not be the best approach - I think IV core can communicate the concern and intent to not ssupport new campaigns.
If there is no response - it becomes difficult for people to do anything because most people spring into action ONLY when IV core endorses the effort otherwise members will start campaigns - get no support or very little support and the campaigns will just go wasted.
On another note - it is always the best to join State chapters and talk to chapter leads and also mobilize people in state chaapter level - itis not easy but works in long run

I wonder where does people come up with such detailed info from. federal felony, lose your property , wow!!!! Even big corps hiring illegals getting away with just fines. Law Enforcement do not worry about the immigration status of the person. I know 2 incidents where my friends got in to car accidents with illegals . the other parties had no license, No id and No insurance. In both cases the cops weren't even bothered about their immigration status even though it was clear that they are illegals. cops gave ticket in some pseudo name they gave and they got away with no trace left.

This thread starts with a call to all the EB2 people. Is it only the EB2 people suffering due to USCIS actions? Or are EB2 applicants a distinguised lot that they dont want EB3 to join with them?
It is so depressing to see the attitude of some of these guys !!! There have been so many threads explaining the difference(or indifference) between the qualifications of the applicants.
The suffering has been equally bad or even much worse for the EB3 applicants. I am an EB3 2003 applicant and my suffering has been equally painful. The campaign should be about fair treatment to every applicant, not alone EB2 or EB3.
Any campaign will only be successful when we try to do something together.
If you yourself are belittling the EB3 applicants, why do you have higher expectations from the American Citizens/Government.

The efforts that the core team puts into this, as also those of other active members of the community, and the recent events should provide a good grounding in IV's mission, intentions, and leadership.
You have all the rights to question, for sure, but I would PM one of the moderators/core team. If my concerns aren't suitably addressed, I would feel free to post on the forum.

Thanks a lot to all members for being with us in this struggle. We have tasted our first big success this year. Credit goes to each and every IV member. We were all affected by the visa bulletin fiasco and this is our victory. This is a victory for all our members and we must rejoice.
IV had worked very hard and had been pushing for this in the background. Our flower campaign, rally and other advocacy efforts all came together and helped us at a crunch time. We thank members that sent flowers and also walked in the San Jose heat for 4 hours. All that really shows our commitment to this cause.
We are happy that our efforts are successful and IV has been able to make a difference. Please also know that during this effort, IV was extremely active and decision makers heard our voice. We cannot give out all the details but what IV members should know is that these efforts should make each one of us proud and what we can do if we have a firm resolve. We were also the first to break this news even before anyone else or media could, and continued to update our members as time passed.
IV also thanks its contributing members and it is because of their contributions we were able to continue this effort. Many thanks to the members that are contributing now after this good news.

What US will do is also non-deterministic. To gauge it, you can only try to understand the sentiments currently running in politics. Anyway, if you look at the issue I am bringing up, it has the potential to grant everyone their freedom.
